Today we have a very special guest joining us, Dave Gaylord, VP of Product and Technology at MatterHackers, who recorded a video providing his top 5 tips for people designing assistive devices with 3D printing. Dave’s background is in biomedical and mechanical engineering and due to his medical experience, he played a large role in helping with testing/modifying 3D printed PPE during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic PPE shortage. Dave’s video is aimed at those participating in the make:able challenge but we think his words of wisdom will be a source of inspiration for anyone looking to design and 3D print assistive technology. Without further ado, let’s hear from Dave in the video below!
